A Nigerian passenger on Wednesday slumped and died following his arrival with Emirates Airlines at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
The passenger, who was said to have arrived with the aircraft registration number EK783 (DX),was identified as Dr Olusola Dada with international passport number A04501199.
The Lagos Airport Police Command spokesman, DSP Joseph Alabi, confirmed the incident on Thursday.
Alabi said the incident was reported to the police authorities after the passenger was confirmed dead by medical personnel.
The deceased, who was said to have flown in from the U.S. alongside his wife, reportedly collapsed at about 3.55p.m. at the check port screening point.
Efforts by the airport medical personnel to resuscitate Dada proved unsuccessful and he was confirmed dead at 5.34 p.m.
It was further gathered that the deceased was the District Governor-Elect, Lions Club International, District 404 A1.
